RSR Nürburg organized the first all-Lotus track day at the legendary Nürburgring on July 30-31.
It was an incredible experience for all involved, with more than 70 Lotus cars taking to the GP track and 14-mile / 22.8 km long Nordschleife track section.
Participants received training from RSR Nürburg instructors and were treated to passenger laps in a factory-supported Aquamarine Lotus Evora driven by vehicle engineering director Matt Becker. After 16 laps of punishment however, the Evora suffered gearbox overheating issues and was retired in favor of an Exige 260 Cup for more passenger laps.
A few days before the event, RSR Nürburg took delivery of six new facelifted Lotus Exige S240 models as part of its new Lotus-themed driving school.
Jochen of Frozenspeed Motorsport Photography captured stunning photos of all participants. Jochen is a full-time freelance automotive photographer available for assignments all over Europe.
