The Sun’s partners for this fantastic opportunity are Autosport International, whose famous racing car show is being held at Birmingham’s NEC this weekend, circuit owners MotorSport Vision Racing and the Lotus On Track organisation, which gives motorsport enthusiasts the chance to have a proper go themselves.

The winner will receive:

* A basic driver training and evaluation day with experts from www.carlimits.com at North Weald airfield, Essex.

* At least two track days with Lotus On Track, with tuition from Elise Trophy race winner Jamie Stanley.

* Training and an advanced test with MotorSport Vision to obtain a racing licence.

* A track day at Snetterton on June 17, with instruction.

* A test day at the Norfolk circuit on June 18.

* Qualifying and one race at the Lotus Festival at Snetterton on June 19-20.

* A painting of him or herself in the Elise racing car by Andrew Kitson, artist to F1 stars.

The winner will also get two tickets for the Autosport show on Sunday.

Ten runners-up will also get a pair of tickets for the show for either Saturday or Sunday.

The prize is subject to the following terms and conditions:

* Entrants must never have held any form of motorsport licence, including for karting, sprinting or racing.

* They must be 21 years old or over and have held a road driving licence for at least three years, with no endorsements.

* No medical conditions.

* No alternative will be offered.

* To start the race, the winner must have met Motor Sports Association criteria in qualifying. In other words, they must demonstrate they are capable of taking part in a race before being let loose with regular Elise series drivers. This year the series will support top international championships including Formula 2 and World Touring Cars, so it’s the real deal.

The Autosport International Show is the biggest and best of its kind in Britain and will be attended by a host of racing stars including world champion Jenson Button.

It features exclusive interviews on the Autosport stage, a “pit-lane” full of Formula One cars, halls full of the latest racing cars and gizmos along with a live action arena for demonstrations, stunts and even wheel-to-wheel racing.
